Terms of Service
Effective date: September 7, 2026
These terms govern your use of toolmakerstudio.com and purchases from Toolmaker Studio ("the studio", "we"). By buying or using our products you agree to them. They're written to be read, so: actually read them - they're short.
What you're buying
Studio kits are digital downloads: templates, rubrics, playbooks, and prompt packs you use with your own tools (including AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude) to produce your own deliverables. They are not software, not a subscription unless labeled one, and not professional advice - legal, financial, HR, or otherwise. You're buying well-organized starting points, and your judgment completes them.
License
Your purchase gives you a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the files in your own business or with your own clients' engagements - edit them, rebrand them, ship the deliverables you make from them. You may not resell, redistribute, or give away the files themselves, in original or lightly modified form, or repackage them as a competing product. One purchase covers one business; consultants may use a kit across their own client work.
The Toolmaker Pass
The Pass is a monthly subscription: two free kits per month, your pick of the library, delivered as claim codes on the first of the month. Cancel anytime; cancellation stops future codes, and kits you already claimed remain yours under the license above. Unused claims don't roll over.
Services
AI Business Audit. Quoted at a flat price shown before you book - currently $999, 50% charged when you reserve and 50% when your audit wraps. The audit is analysis and recommendations; implementation is separate. AI Concierge. A hosted website chat service billed monthly; cancel anytime and the widget goes dark at the end of the paid period. Setup terms are stated at purchase.
Refunds
Digital products are delivered instantly, and we still stand behind them: if a kit isn't what you expected, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. The AI Business Audit carries a 30-day money-back guarantee from delivery of your report. Subscriptions can be canceled anytime and aren't refunded retroactively for partial months. For purchases made on a marketplace (Gumroad, Etsy, PromptBase), that platform's refund process applies - though our 30-day promise still stands behind our own products there.
Acceptable use
- Don't use our products for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful.
- Don't misrepresent AI-assisted output where disclosure matters. Several kits touch hiring, screening, and policy - you're responsible for using them fairly and within the laws that apply to you (employment, privacy, and consumer-protection rules included).
- Don't scrape, copy, or mirror the site or store at scale.
- Don't resell the files themselves. Your deliverables are yours; our files are ours.
About AI-generated content
The studio's products, copy, and support are produced with substantial AI involvement - we say so on the label. We review what we ship, but AI-assisted material can be wrong in ways that look right. Verify facts, figures, and legal or compliance language before you rely on them. Output produced by running our prompt packs through third-party AI tools is also governed by those tools' own terms.
Intellectual property
The kits, site, brand, and copy are the studio's. Your purchase licenses them; it doesn't transfer them. Anything you create with the kits is yours.
No warranties, limited liability
Products are provided "as is." We work hard to make them good; we don't warrant that they're error-free or fit for your specific purpose. To the extent the law allows, the studio's total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us for the product or service at issue. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this page with its effective date. Continuing to buy or use products after a change means you accept the new terms.
